Many people today do not seem to realise that time travel is a reality and has been possible for many years. We are all in a ‘time machine’ that is flying through space at an enormous speed. Many call it ‘earth.’ Since earth’s inception, time has been relentlessly moving forward. We are born into this world as biological electro-mechanical lifeforms and go about our daily business traveling forward in time until our life ends. We live in a window of this time, but there are those who have lived here since the beginning and have seen world history played out before them. They are in the spirit world and see us as we really are.
By the end of this message you will have ‘time travelled’ forward in time by a few minutes. To us, time seems like an enemy pushing us closer to a cliff edge. We don’t want to fall off this cliff, but resistance is futile. Time is unbeatable. Time is unstoppable. We cannot but obey the law of time. We are forced to travel forwards against our will. Each one of us is aware that every day is a day closer to that cliff edge of death. Many try to block out the implications of this reality from their mind by trying to have a good time and loosing themselves in a life of self-pleasure and fantasy. These people are only fooling themselves, as the day of their death is still drawing near, even if they avoid thinking about it. All this may be understandable, as the realities of death are very sobering and serious. At death our soul and body will be ripped apart and only our spirit will remain. We will enter a spiritual world full of celestial beings and at the centre will be the creator of all things.
We can see that trying to enjoy being slowly pushed off a cliff edge is living in a false reality. It is like having a disco in a grave yard. For us to really enjoy the life we have, we need to grasp what happens at death. Is death the end? Does my life now effect what happens after I die? These are questions that we all need answers to, preferably before we die. But when is that? No one knows for sure when that time is…
The creator designed the time machine (earth); He even made the laws of time. He also created us in His own image. This uncreated spirit being, who lives outside of time, came into our world and lived as a man within time. He came with a message and a mission. His message was of righteousness, judgment and love. His mission was to die and suffer on behalf of a certain people (past, future and present), who had lived contrary to how He wished. The creator had prepared a rubbish tip for those who did not obey Him. Usually these disobedient worthless creatures are thrown into a pit of fire to burn in torment forever, but there are exceptions. In the perfect world where the creator lives, perfect justice has to be metered out and wrongdoers are dealt with in this way. Out of love and pity for His creatures He wanted to save them. He wanted to make it possible for their crimes against Him to be deleted, so they would not have to suffer in torment.

The Lord Jesus Christ became a man and dwelt among us. The creatures He created nailed Him to a cross and He suffered in agonising pain. Even through all the physical abuse that Jesus suffered, one thing made Jesus cry out; it was when God the Father made Him guilty of all the crimes of humanity and turned His back on Him.
‘But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.’ (Isaiah 53:5-6)
The apostle Paul wrote, ‘This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.’ (1 Timothy 1:15) Paul admitted he was a sinner, in fact, the chief of sinners! Here are some questions: Are you a sinner? Have you always obeyed the holy God of the universe? Have you obeyed the Ten Commandments perfectly? Have you ever lied or stolen? Have you ever used God’s name as a cuss word? Have you always been pure in your mind? Have you always put God first in your life? Have you committed horrible sins in secret that you thought no one would ever find out about?
If your conscience has condemned you, then sadly you are a sinner like the rest of us. Unrepentant sinners are destined for God’s burning scrap-heap, which is hell. Jesus said, ‘..Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.’ (Luke 12:5)
Do you fear God? Do you care where your soul will end up after you fall off the ‘cliff of death?’ The only reason you are alive and breathing today is because of God’s mercy and love, but he has appointed a day when you will certainly die and be judged. Does it worry you that today may be your last day on earth? If you were torn from this world tomorrow, where exactly would your soul end up?
‘..behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.’ 2 Corinthians 6:2
Do you want your criminal record with God deleted? Do you want to be saved from the pits of hell and spend forever in the presence of God? Then flee to God in prayer today! Don’t delay!
‘Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.’ (Isaiah 55:7)
Perhaps you could offer a prayer to God like the following:

Dear Lord God of heaven,
Be merciful unto me, a sinner.
I have sinned greatly before you (confess those sins to Him)
Please forgive me for all of my evil ways.
I repent and turn from my wickedness.
I give up doing things ‘my way’ and seek to do things your way.
I accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that was offered up for my sins.
In gratitude to Jesus I accept him to be both my Lord and Saviour of my life.
Please send your Holy Spirit into my heart to help me live for you.
Guide and direct my paths and change me for the better.
In Jesus name I pray this prayer. Amen.
‘That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.’ (Romans 10:9)
Pick up a Bible and read about the God of the universe and Jesus Christ His son. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand what you read and may you seek the Lord with all your heart.
